Why HSRP Is Mandatory in Chhattisgarh

The mandate to install High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) across Chhattisgarh is not just a state-level requirement; it’s part of a nationwide directive enforced by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, based on Supreme Court orders. This initiative aims to standardize vehicle identification, reduce the risk of fraud, and improve law enforcement’s ability to trace and track vehicles.

These specialized plates come embedded with advanced security features designed to protect your vehicle. Each HSRP includes a chromium-based hologram and a unique laser-etched identification number, both of which make counterfeiting extremely difficult. Additionally, the snap-lock mechanism used during installation ensures the plate cannot be removed or reused without visible damage; this further reinforces its role as an anti-theft measure.
